Summer’s End, Hope’s Beginning
In the journey of faith, we often long for a fresh start. August marks the close of summer and ushers in opportunities for new experiences – reminding us that God continually offers new beginnings in our lives. Just as this month can bring the start of a school year or fresh professional and personal opportunities, it can also spark renewal in our spiritual walk.
Throughout Scripture, we see God’s redemptive work bringing renewal and transformation.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?’ Isaiah 43:19
From creation – where God brought order from chaos – to Noah’s covenant after the flood, and ultimately to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Bible paints a picture of God making all things new.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Where in your life are you seeking a new beginning?
- A renewed closeness with God?
- The restoration of a relationship?
- Fresh hope for your children or grandchildren as a new school year begins?
Whatever your fresh start may be, remember, hope is the confident expectation of God’s promises – rooted in His faithfulness and the assurance of His Word.
Summer may soon be winding down, but that doesn't mean the time for adventures is over. To help you stay inspired and make the most of the remainder of the season, this issue of American Lifestyle is here with new destinations to explore in the western United States, fresh handheld meals, a dive into an artist's incredible journey, and a look at how one Ohio charity assists teachers and students in need.
