Over the past two years, the Dove Investments team has anchored our conversations around intentional themes. In 2024, we focused on Growing in Faith. In 2025, we leaned into Growing in Hope. Those themes – faith in who God is and hope in what He has promised – form the foundation for our 2026 theme – Growing in Generosity.

Generosity is what faith and hope look like when they become visible in everyday life. It is an invitation to consider how generosity shapes our lives, our families, and our calling as followers of Christ. The following ideas are the foundations of generosity. 

Generosity begins with perspective. Scripture reminds us of a foundational truth that is easy to forget: ‘The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it’ – Psalm 24:1. We are not owners, but stewards –entrusted for a season with resources, abilities, and opportunities that ultimately belong to God. When we embrace this perspective, humility replaces control, gratitude replaces anxiety, and our lives begin to align more intentionally with God’s purposes.

Generosity is a matter of mindset. Jesus taught that giving begins in the heart: ‘For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also’ – Matthew 6:21. A generous mindset trusts God’s provision rather than clinging to fear or scarcity. It recognizes abundance where the world sees limitation. When generosity flows from the heart, it becomes a way of life rather than a line item.

Generosity requires action. Genuine generosity eventually expresses itself in tangible ways. Scripture encourages us, ‘Do not forget to do good and to share with others’ – Hebrews 13:16. As we enter 2026, this may look like meeting needs within our families, giving to our local church, partnering with Great Commission-focused ministries, serving in our local communities, or creating margin for spontaneous opportunities to bless others.

As we step into 2026, Growing in Generosity is an invitation to: see our lives and resources through God’s perspective; cultivate hearts shaped by trust and gratitude; practice generosity in ways that are thoughtful, relational, and life-giving; and create margin for spontaneous generosity.

In the months ahead, we will explore generosity more deeply – but today is about setting the tone.
